A Garden Wedding is the Dream, But What if it Rains?

Here's a start to preparing your garden wedding:

1. Choose your wedding date carefully.

This is the most important takeaway. If you can't read the rest of this entry, at least read this: choose your date carefully! Weather is both the pro and con in garden weddings. Choosing a good month increases your chances of beautiful weather. If you can, go for January, February, March or April.

2. For your peace of mind, always have a Plan B.

Plan for your dream garden wedding: ceremony, reception, flowers, caterer, chairs and tables. By all means, plan away! Then, when you're done, sit down with your suppliers and draw your Plan B.

The easiest solution for the unpredictable weather is getting a wedding tent. It protects you and your guests from the elements without taking away the garden atmosphere.

3. Once you've set a garden wedding, embrace your decision.

A garden wedding is not for everyone. But once you've set your heart to it, then prepare to accept it and all its awesome possibilities! Think of it as your chance for unique photos, unforgettable stories, and a truly memorable backdrop. In the end, it's how you see your wedding day. The rain is a gift of nature which you can use to your advantage.

4. Only the brave will be rewarded

If you really want a garden wedding, counter all doubts in your head with a good robust plan. Do not easily give up and settle for the practical or convenient because deep down you will always have that nagging feeling that you didn't go for it. Your wedding is that one time where you get to call all the shots so make the most of it. A garden wedding is not impossible. You've been asking 'What if it rains?' when you should have been asking 'What if it doesn't?' Like many things in life, the outcome of your wedding day lies on the right choices and the right attitude.
